This year Easter seemed more like a marathon then a celebration. We started out Saturday morning by going to the Polk Co Sheriff's Dept Egg Hunt in SCF. It was a bit windy out, but the girls were excited. My sister and her kids were here for the weekend so they came with us. Joel and his family were suppose to come but came down with the stomach flu, so as much fun as it would have been to have them there with us, we were glad they stayed home and kept the germs to themselves.

Later that afternoon we headed up to Luck to celebrate Easter with my side of the family. It was a ton of good food- too much food if you know my Mom. It was nice though as GG was able to have dinner with us and the kids loved that. I think GG did too!
Mom went out of her way to hide eggs, and she did a pretty good job too. Each kid was suppose to find 8 of their eggs, color coded so there would be no fighting. Mom thought Colin would like the camo eggs, which he did, until he couldn't find all of them because they blended in with the grass and leaves. It took a lot of searching, but all eggs were finally found. Note to Grandma- no camo eggs next year please.
Kellen and Colin searching for eggs. They are getting so big! Kellen is catching up to Colin pretty fast in height.

By this time, Quinn was on her 2nd hunt of the day and was getting the hang of it.

Haley and Rylee. Rylee just adores Haley and Haley is so good to put up with her.

Ry showing her boy cousins that she can wrestle just as good as they can

Ry and GG

Easter morning at out house. Ry noticed the Easter Bunny had visited outside and couldn't wait to get out there!

The Easter Bunny really made Ry work for her eggs this year.

By now Quinnie was a seasoned pro at finding eggs. That was until she saw the swing and wanted nothing to do with the egg hunt. After a few minutes on the swing, we were able to convince her to finish looking for eggs and her basket.

Miss Ry with her basket of goodies. She got new sunglasses, a Cinderella video (Brandy version), a yo-yo and a jump rope. She was in Heaven!

Miss Quinnie got some new "Dowa" cups, some Wonderpet things to drag around, 2 new books and some "Dowa" sunglasses. She is in love with "Dowa" if you couldn't tell.
After a rest, we headed over to Doug and Annette's for Easter egg hunt and then lunch. Doug and Luke hid the eggs this year and they were not super nice about it. Note to self- stay on their good side or your egg will be next to impossible to find!

Everyone had an egg to find and then the kids got to find the extra eggs. I think there were 87 eggs total this year.

Annette has the ability to find the funnest things for the girls and this year was no different. As you can tell by the bunny glasses, even the adults had fun with them.
Abby and Andy
Miss Ry with her glasses. Each girl got 2 pair of Bunny glasses along with a TON of candy (no exaggeration- way too much candy), clothes, and some other fun stuff.

The weather was great and we spent a ton of time outside. I was glad to get home though and relax a bit before the work week started back up. Even the girls were super tired. They both fell asleep before we made it to HWY8
