The 1st haircut

2 weeks for before the big wedding day, we decided it was time for Quinn's first haircut. She was not excited about it but reluctantly sat on my lap with a little help from a bag of M&M's.

For as unhappy as she was, Quinn sat super still during the whole thing and did really good (as long as the candy kept coming). She didn't say a peep and barely moved an inch the whole time

The expression on her face was just too cute to pass up posting

She wasn't quite sure what Missy was doing but did a great job sitting still

The final result was a super cute haircut and one little girl covered in chocolate. The ladies at Hair's the Thing in Milltown were so nice during the whole process. I didn't know until later that Quinn left her "mark" all over the shop with little chocolate covered fingerprints.

A Christmas Story

So, I am pretty far behind on updating this blog, so I am throwing all things aside and getting a bunch of pictures up on it.

A walk thru our Christmas 2010

Rylee decorating the tree

 Miss Quinnie decorating

A pretty cute little chick in the Sunday School program. Rylee worked really hard to learn all the group lines, songs, and her particular line of "we little chicks promise we won't make a peep"

Daddy digging in and helping decorate sugar cookies. The girls were covered head to toe in frosting and sprinkles but had a blast so it was worth the mess

Sliding at Doug and Annette's on Christmas Eve day. I couldn't believe how brave Quinnie was going down the hill by herself on her brand new inner tube. She wasn't afraid at all!

Rylee and Grandma heading down! What a good sport Grandma was

After a cold time sledding, the girls got to go "tubbin" in Grandpa and Grandma's new hot tub. Ry dove in and thought it was just like a swimming pool (but learned it isn't as big) but Quinne was a bit more reluctant. She did finally warm up enough to the idea and it was pretty hard to get her to finally get out. It is now one of their favorite's things to do!

Our family picture on Christmas Eve after Church

Opening presents at the Williamson Christmas Eve

Coloring books were a super big hit with both girls

I love her expression

One of the things on her list to Santa was ear muffs and this was one happy little girl when she opened them up

Christmas morning at our house. Getting ready to open presents. Trying to tame some of the madness by having each girl take a turn. It worked pretty well, or as well as expected with a 5 and 2 year old.

The excitement is building

Quinn loved her stocking and thought it was the coolest thing

A little girl in Heaven with her 1st boy doll! It's Flynn from Tangled and she thought he was super cool. Now her new Barbies had a man in their lives

A puppy petshop! One of the only things that Quinnie wanted

Ry loves to color so she was pretty happy to get this paint by number set

Quinn loves Rylee's fur hat and Daddy's so we thought this little one needed her own. She was pretty excited and wore it for much of the morning.

Christmas with the Chivers' family

Grandma Bonnie got each of the grandkids a hat that lights up and the kids enjoyed them a ton!

Super excited about the Polly Pocket set!

The singer of Grandma's band

Playing the new Wii with Uncle Bill. Who knew Quinnie was such a good boxer!

Playing with her new dress up clothes and having a ball doing it.

Hoping everyone had a wonderful Christmas and best wishes for a wonderful 2011!!!

Tippy-Tap

Rylee's 1st dance recital of the year was on December 3rd at the Chisago Performing Arts Center

For some reason, the tall girls were in the front row so no matter where we sat we could barely see Rylee if at all. Thankfully I was able to get a few during rehearsal so we have some.

There's our girl in the middle with cousin Lucy on the right at dress rehearsal

The actual recital- thankfully Kristin got a few pictures for us that we could add to her scrapbook. These aren't quite the quality we were hoping for.

The big finale- getting to dance next to the "Big girls"

Mama with the cutest dancer in the show! Daddy had to take Quinn home after the 1st show and we didn't get a picture of him with Ry so I had to make sure we got one picture of her after the 2nd show.

She was so excited to get her flowers. She was worried that we forgot (which we kinda did but thankfully they were selling them there for only a 500% mark-up. What a deal!!)
