There's A Pickle In My Tummy

For the few that may not know, our family will be one member larger this summer. We are expecting again with baby #3 due on June 24, which is just in time for Chris' birthday along with Doug and Annette's 34th wedding anniversary.

We found out around the girls' birthdays but decided to keep it a secret until Thanksgiving when we shared it with our families.  On Thanksgiving morning, we sat the girls down and told them that Mommy has a tiny baby in her tummy and that they both will get to be big sisters.

Ry of course knew exactly what that meant as she was an active part of my pregnancy with Quinn so Ry's eyes got to be as big as saucers and she immediately touched my stomach.

Quinn on the other hand, didn't really understand that the baby was in my tummy. She lifted up my shirt and had a puzzled look on her face, like "I don't see a baby".   She never the less was excited as she saw how Rylee was responding to it.

Lots of hugs and kisses all around and our new secret.  We decided that we would have the girls give Grandpa GG a card that shared our news and that would be the way we told the Williamson side of the family.

Not long after arriving at Grandpa GG's, Quinn walked up and gave GG the card and he read it out loud, but I don't think he actually read what the card said.  He read our names but didn't see or realize that there was an extra name at the end. Once he did, he was very excited and surprised to hear that there would be another Baby Williamson on the way. Everyone else was pretty surprised and excited too.

After enjoying the day with the W side, we loaded up the van and headed to The Shack for my family's dinner.  We did the same thing with the card but Quinn gave it to my Mom.  She was not so quiet and shrieked when she read the card which of course made everyone turn and look and ask what was going on.

Just the night before at The Shack for dinner my Auntie Kris mentioned how she thought it was time for us to have another and we just had to play it off until we could really tell them the next day. I think Auntie Kris screamed just as loud. My Dad was pretty excited too!

With all of the wonderful response to our blessed news, I couldn't help but be a tiny bit sad that Grandma Unita and Grandma GG couldn't be with us to share in the news.  They both would have been so excited to hear that a baby was on the way. I know that they shared in the news with us that day, but it would have been great to share the hugs and kisses with them.

Here's to 2011 being a wonderful and blessed year!!

The Birthday Extravaganza

Ok, bear with me as this website will only upload the pictures in a reverse order no matter what I try to do to change it.

The birthdays this year were a combination even though I didn't want them to be. I always had a party with Bill and Joel and I swore I wouldn't make the girls have a combined, but this year has been so busy for us that we only had 1 weekend free to do it so I gave in.

I talked at length with Ry about sharing the day and she was totally cool with it. I let each girl pick a theme and so we had Dora and Princess and the Frog. I figured that was the least we could do for them.  I gave her the option of opening presents first or being sung to first and she chose to be sung to. I was really proud of her for being happy and sticking to her decision without throwing a fit. She really is growing up.

We had a beautiful day and a great turn out of family and friends. It was a very good day that left the girls puddles with an early bedtime. Thanks to all that came and helped us celebrate!

Miss Quinnie in disguise

Grandma is always a good sport

And Miss Rylee joining in the fun.

My camera takes THE WORST pictures so thankfully Annette got some good ones. Our cupcake tower. Rylee had the purple ones for her Princess and the Frog and Quinnie had orange for Dora. MMM, Jan's cakes in turtle lake are so yummy!!!

The star of Quinn's world- Miss "Dowa"

Our attempt at a family pic, didn't turn out too bad

MMM, lasagna and garlic bread!!

Opening presents

Thanks again to everyone that came and helped us celebrate!! It was a great day and the girls were in heaven with everything they got.

Seriously- You're 5!?!?

Some days I forget that I am the parent to a 5 year old. How did that happen? I swear just yesterday she was learning to walk and talk and now she is in school. Where or where has the time gone? I was not ready for her to be 5 but there was no way holding her back and she hit 5 running full speed!

Birthday morning at our house means that Mom gets up extra early (7am!) and makes pancakes and scrambled eggs so it is extra special. We have this alot on Sunday mornings, but almost never on a weekday so the girls thought that was super cool.

The Birthday Girl!!!

For her birthday supper, Rylee wanted to have breakfast burritos. Really, of all the options this is what she chose so we went with it. I thought she would have picked something like shrimp, but no- breakfast burritos. I'm surprised she didn't ask for coffee too. She is 5 ya know.

For some reason, the girls seem to pick the spot in the kitchen that is in front of the pantry to open their presents. I don't know why, Quinn picked it too.

Rylee was all about "reading" the cards. I asked her if she could read and her response was "I am in school Mom". I stand corrected. If that's the case, SCF has the BEST 4k program. She is starting to sound some words out when we read but that is about as far as she goes.

After the battle of blondes that was a knock-down drag out hair pulling fight (thanks auntie molly) Rylee got her own "Bean" as she calls it.

New headbands to tame the out of control bangs that we are working hard to grow out for the wedding.

Her expression just made me chuckle. It's a cross between a smile and panic. Not sure which one it really is.

Daddy's famous birthday cake. Rylee wanted a Dora cake too. I had Jessie stuff from Toy Story, but she insisted on using Quinn's Dora stuff. Works for me.

The official singing of the birthday song picture!

Daddy hoping that all the candles are blown out so there are not any "boyfriends". Ry said "yuck" when I teased her about it. I was glad to hear boys are "yucky". Let's hope she remembers that in 10 years. I will remind her so don't worry.

Finally getting to enjoy some cake! Does she not just look so happy!!

Happy 5th Birthday To Our Beautiful Girl

Coffee Time

At Grandma Williamson's house, 2 is the age of legal coffee consumption and Quinn is now old enough to have some. She now has her own cup and enjoys it along with Ry and Grandma and Grandpa.

2-riffic Birthday!

Miss Quinnie is 2!!!!!

It is hard to believe that the past 2 years have just flown by and our baby is two years old. She is not afraid to do anything and is full of life. From the moment she wakes up until the moment she goes to bed it is non-stop action, but if it wasn't I don't think she would be herself.

Birthday Pancakes

The Birthday Girl on her way to daycare.
I gave Quinn a whole bunch of options for treats to bring and she chose banana muffins. Smart girl!

Everyone gets to pick what they want for their birthday supper and to no one's surprise Quinnie choose "Hotdog Cheese"- her favorite meal at this age. For those that don't know, it's Hotdogs and Mac'n'cheese.

If you ask Quinn what she had for lunch, no matter what day it is she will say Hotdog Cheese, then throw her head back and laugh this huge belly laugh!

Finally getting to use her Birthday Plate!

 Her new smile

Presents!!!!

Quinn was so excited to open presents and she knew exactly what to do too! She got a new hat/mitten set, socks, Dora mermaid for the tub, a Dora book, and a Lil' People Doll house.

My 2 year old and her favorite gift of the night- the hat/mitten set.

Getting ready to blow out the candles of her Dora cake!!

Happy Birthday to our Miss Quinnie!!!
We love you!!!!

Fall Splendor

Some more random shots during the beautiful fall weather.

My tree- the only one that changes color in our yard. It was a beautiful yellow for about 2 days and then it all the leaves fall off- way faster then any other tree I think.

Who's That Lady

Our house is never boring when it comes to hamming it up and also playing dress-up and the girls seem to be able to come up with the funniest looks.

Quite possibly the cutest giraffe I have ever seen

If you ever ask what she had for lunch or what she would like to have for lunch, you will always here "Hotdogs Cheese". In Quinnie lingo that would be hotdogs and mac n' cheese.
