Mmm- I don't know if I like how this tastes

Mommy didn't pick the best day to go play outside for the 1st time. It was Friday of Memorial Weekend and the wind was so strong coming across the fields that at times I thought Quinnie might blow away!! Despite the gale force winds, Quinnie had a good time playing with the grass, picking up sticks and playing with the dogs. Here are a few of the precious moments caught on camera!!

Quinn in the backyard with Monty and Emma looking on. If you look close enough, above her ears you can see the wind blowing her long locks of hair!!

Monty showing Quinnie some love!! She absolutely loves him and lets him do what ever to her- and he allows the same by her. Quinn and Rylee can pretty much do what ever they want to the dogs and they sit there and love every minute of the attention- or almost every minute. They have figured out that if the girls are a bit too much, they can get up and move and for the most part the girls can't go after them. Smart dogs!!

Of course I put everything in my mouth Mom!!! Anything she can get her hands on goes into her mouth- doesn't matter if its paper, a crayon- or even grass! Wonder how it tastes?

It feels kinda funny and I don't know if I like the taste of it Mom!

Yup- pretty sure it doesn't taste very good!! Mom- can you help me out here!!
Mommy ended up having to do a CPR finger sweep to get the mouth full of grass out before she gagged on it. She was not too impressed with grass after that and neither was Mom. She had a few strands of grass left in her hand and she cried her head off until Mom took them away and then she was fine and her normal smiling self!!!

Weekend in Review

Chris spent the whole weekend working hard on the new deck. We thought it would be an easy task as we were leaving the frame work in place and just replacing the face boards and top boards- man, we were ever wrong. We should have known that nothing at our hosue is ever as straight as we hoped and the deck was no exception! Here is Daddy with his girls after it was all done- Nice job Daddy!!! (I have no idea why this is all underlined?)
Rylee wanted so badly to spend the night in the camper that was parked in the yard and Daddy was good enough go along with it, even though it did get a bit cold during the night. They slept in, Mommy had to wake them up at 8:30! Wish she would sleep in that late for me!!

Rylee lending a hand with digging up Grandma's blackberry bushes

Daddy working hard at cleaning out Grandma Bonnie's blackberry bushes! Watch out for the thorns- they make you bleed your own blood!!

Rylee showing off her Daddy's big turkey- the 2nd of the week! What a master hunter!

The faces of Quinnie!

Over Memorial Weekend we pretty much stayed close to home. We ventured to Grandma and Grandpa's on both sides for a bit but otherwise hung out around the house and spent a lot of time outside. Quinn was very interested in being outside since the weather was pretty nice. Here are a few pictures of her being outside for pretty much the first time.

Quinnie enjoying her 1st s'more EVER!!!! (Courtesy of Grandma Williamson)

The higher she swung- the bigger the smile and louder the giggle! If you only could of hear that sweet little giggle of hers!

Getting a good feel of the tickly grass. She couldn't get enough of the grass. She grabbed fistfulls at a time and was in total awe of it.

What a smile- even if she wouldn't take the paci out!! She smiled so wide when she got to sit on the front seat of Daddy's truck.

Enjoying some deck time at Grandma Bonnie's camper! Rylee refuses to say it is Grandpa's- she always refers to it as Grandma's lake or Grandma's camper! Sorry Grandpa!

Catching up!

Life has been pretty busy around the house, so here are a few pictures of what we have been up to lately. Enjoy!!!!
Rylee flying her new kite that the Easter Bunny brought. This was prior to it getting stuck in the tree and Daddy having to try to get it down with a rake (that also got stuck) and a shovel (that also got stuck). Needless to say, the kite was lost forever in the tree. She had a blast so off to the store to get another one.
Rylee and Daddy racing around the driveway. Daddy was a good sport and some how the Gator beat the lawnmower!

Miss Quinnie driving as we waited for Henry's Baptism to start. It was pouring outside and we got there quite early so we had some time to kill. Love that smile!

What a big girl- sitting up all by herself! She isn't able to get herself up to sit, but does pretty well with a little help! 6 months old already- how time flies!

Miss Rylee enjoying the rain and puddles.
