When I get little I can have some?

On Sunday I was making a chocolate chip cream cheese pie thing that had whipped cream in it. Quinn was watching me so I decided to give her a little taste of the whipped cream. Her face says it all...don't you think!

After the whipped cream, I decided that maybe we would give some cereal a try since she enjoyed the whipped cream so much. So here is Miss Quinnie being a big girl and having food for the first time
I think more was on her face and the bib then actually went in her and stayed- but for her first time she did very well. She liked it and so we decided to keep trying.

The only battle we had was over her hand in her mouth versus the spoon in it. She puts her whole hand in her mouth to suck on instead of just her thumb.

He's got his Daddy's nose

The newest member of the family arrived early- much to our surprise! Henry Allan Chivers surprised us early Saturday morning. An induction was scheduled for this Wednesday- but he just couldn't wait!
He weighed in at a whopping 7 pounds and was 19 1/2 inches long

Proud Daddy Joel and Henry.

The tired but looking pretty well for just having a baby- Mommy Mindy

Henry looks just like his Dad- he has Joel's nose for sure and his crazy hair too. His Dad already apologized for the hair- sorry Henry! Big brother Jack was excited, but I think at the time he liked his new Cars tent that Grandpa and Grandma gave him better! Everyone is doing well and should be going home by Tuesday.
Welcome to our CRAZY family Henry!!

Double Trouble

After many playdates at The Johnson's, we decided that it was time for Kacy to come to our house for a playdate. I picked Kacy up a little before 1pm on Saturday and we were off for an afternoon of fun! The girls ate lunch and then decided to brave the hurricane force winds and play outside. I think it took longer to get them dressed and ready then they actually spent outside.

Here's Miss Quinn ready to go play outside! She only lasted a few minutes before deciding that she liked it better inside where it was nice and warm.

The Blondies all ready to go!

Making snow angels in the driveway!
After coming in and warming up, we watched Milo & Otis, rocked on the horse, and played babies. Kristin came to get Kacy about 4:30 and by that time both girls had fallen and gotten hurt, had a meltdown over the other one not sharing a toy, and were upset over the fact that they could only have one pack of fruit snacks. An hour later, Ry was passed out on the couch from all the fun and took an hour nap before getting up and then heading off to an early bed time.

Hush little baby

Rylee loves to play babies now as Grandma and Grandpa Chivers gave her two twin babies for Christmas. At first she named them Jason and Ella but now they are both named Ella.
Sometimes when Quinn is really fussy I will put her in my MOBY wrap and that seems to comfort her down pretty quickly. Rylee made her own version of the MOBY wrap with my dress scarf. Pretty good for a 3 year old!

Rylee walked around the house for about 20 minutes going "SSHH" to Ella and bouncing her, just like I do with Quinny! Ella finally fell asleep much to Ry's delight. She's quite the little Mommy in the making I guess.

The Color Purple

Tonight we got together at Doug and Annette's to celebrate Andy and Abby's birthdays. Supper was super good- beer can chicken and egg rolls. Andy loves DQ cakes, so that is what we had. The cake had dark purple icing that went around the edges and left quite the impression on everyone! The Birthday Girl and Boy!

Rylee loved that everyone had a purple tongue- she even got some icing in her hair and as of bedtime her hair had beautiful purple highlights! Lets hope it comes out tomorrow. Rylee thought she looked like "Hanna Tanna" and wants to keep the purple. Ah- Dad says no!
The entire gang showing off their lovely purple tongues! We all couldn't stop laughing and almost sent Luke into an asthma attack!

Counting Waxies

For Christmas Uncle Lukie gave Rylee her own fishing gear- she was in heaven!

The whole family ventured out for a few hours of fishing in the shack.
Rylee fished for a few minutes before she got bored and then she played with the waxies the rest of the night. Quinn missed all the excitement as she slept the entire time we were there. Mom took up Ry's pole and actually caught quite a few sunnies and crappies before we packed it up and headed home.

Where's that Bimbo?

Quinn's first smiles!

Caffeine and Cough Drops

Yesterday was so cold out but Chris promised Rylee they would play outside if she napped-she held up her end of the deal.

We don't have much for sliding hills around our house, but Chris got creative and Ry had a blast!

Quinn decided she was too sleepy to go outside and play in the snow so she took a nice warm nap

Let's go to the libary Mom

Wednesday is story time at the scf library and Ry loves to go! They read a few quick books and then on to the crafts. Today was pinecones with peanut butter and birdseed- what a mess but the kids had so much fun! Then it was off to see Grandma at work and then home for a bit. Quinn is getting her 3 month pictures at walmart today-gonna give them a try even though many people hate them. We'll see-Target is so far to go now for just a quick picture.
